Balancing Yoga & Balancing Your Diet

We are so excited to present this two-part workshop. We will begin with a session dedicated to help you understand the physical concepts of balance. Discussion will trade off with balancing asanas. You will receive individual attention to help you find your own center of balance and use it in poses. You will learn simple exercises to create a more solid foundation for yoga and in every-day life.                           

Followed by an exciting and informative discussion with Magdalina Zakaryan, a graduate of the Living Light Institute, a chef and a nutrition and raw food educator. She will present a few raw food dishes, explain how to create them and then you’ll have a taste. She prepared food for the Wine, Women and Yoga soiree and it was a tremendous hit.

Chakra Meditation & Tara Yoga

Wow, we had such a great time at the workshop.  Please see the gallery for photo's of the Tara Yoga.  See below for information on this workshop, we will definitely plan another Chakra Meditation & Tara Yoga in the future!

The workshop will begin with a 1/2 hour Chakra Meditation, followed by a Tara class and a Savasana that is the definition of Savasana.

What is Tara Yoga?  Tara Yoga is a flowing Vinyasa Yoga practice, linking breath to movement guided by rhythmic drums.  It is a beautiful, exhilarating class where the yogi’s and yogini’s are moving in sync with each other as one unit.

Our Savasana will be a deep restorative asana that allows the practitioner to fully absorb the benefits of the Yoga practice.

The class will be on February  24th, 2018

Class will be held on Saturday  from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Advanced Asana Practice

In this class we will study advanced asanas.  These asanas will be examined individually and will be considered our pinnacle pose.  We will discuss the muscles and joints targeted in the asana and which poses to practice to warm up for the pinnacle asana.  We will enter into the pinnacle asana from level 1, advancing to level 2, level 3, ultimately reaching the full expression of the asana.  Each class will last 3 hours.  That time will be spent in warm up for the pinnacle asana, discussion and practice of the pinnacle asana and variations of the pinnacle asana.

We will be changing the pinnacle asana every time we present our “Advanced Asana Practice” class.  With a thorough understanding of each asana presented you can add these asanas to your teaching or your home practice.
